To Binge or Not to Binge that is the question

Binge... such a dirty little word or at least it was until Netflix came along...

So I was Binge watching (cause you know I do that all the stinking time) Arrow currently (yes I never watched this crack when it was on 2 years ago and still going strong. I'm trying to catch up before season 3 and the spin off Flash) anyway I digress...

Do you binge watch? Or do you tend to just indulge in 1 episode at a time?

Those of you that binge watch do you ever find yourself getting burned out on it? Or for example skipping around during the show b/c that particular story line is boring to you?

I have found on certain shows there is a reason that the networks give you a week between each. On some shows if you watch all of them at once you will start seeing glaring plot holes or eye roll moments that you would've totally bi-passed had you waited a week between. For example on TWD (The Walking Dead) there are some serious OMG, OMFG, EW and UGH moments that I normally wouldn't have been so Oh God this again? And what the hell was the point of that? Are we going for gore factor here? Had I say, watched them weekly instead of binge watching them for 2 weeks.

In fact I can't think of a single show I was like the above picture when I binged watched unless I was just catching up on 1 season. Like PLL (Pretty Little Liars) I watched season 4 in like a week to watch season 5 and I found with that show that I was like... where the frack is the next episode? Now however, I am caught up and I am wondering why I liked this show so much? Was it simply the binge factor so I was so hooked on the "mystery" of A that I had to know what would happen next or was the show that good and is slumping off?

I am finding with Arrow that I am doing more of the fast forwarding and the "oh I don't like those 2 together so I will skip that" "Oh sure Sara's alive yeah right fast forward" due to watching all of season 1 in like 2 days.

So I guess my questions are:
Do you Binge watch?
If you do how long to do you do it (a whole season, a whole catchup set)?
Do you get bored with a show or annoyed with one when doing a binge watch?
Are there certain shows that are better for Binge watching like say Scandal, PLL, Revenge (due to the mystery or thriller background)?
And am I seriously the only one who does?

It looks as if we are going to do a flashback to the how things went wrong on the highway. Not the highway I guess more like how we got the rag tag bunch that included Rick's family and current group of friends.
Oh FYI I apparently have been spelling the names wrong this whole time. So again sorry for that.
Oh good Ed is still alive that's fantastic dang there is a whole lot more people then ended up in the group. That was either an explosion or gun fire. Apparently they are bombing the city which isn't good considering that a bunch of them were heading that way. Well I guess now we know how they ended up in the group and tents.
Search party is on again and I am hoping Glenn and Daryl make it out alive. Poor Glenn Maggie AKA Bella is really riding him hard and not in a good way. I think she truly wants to keep it at a one night stand and Glenn doesn't get that. Poor guy.
Shane is bragging about his conquest. The fun times talk turns into a lets stop talking about the dead people lecture.
I wonder if old Shane boy isn't feeling just a tad guilty how many others did you leave behind Shane besides Rick and Otis?!?!
Shane and Rick have an arguement which let's Rick glimpse a hard side of Shane and a side that no one who watches this show could possibly like.
Oh so BDS guy Darell is on a horse. Love this character and actor! He sees a doll but is it a trick? Apparently he doesn't care cause he yells out Sophie's name anyway.
Back on the horse you just know something bad is going to happen since the crows are a flying away... yep a snake for pete's sake a freaking snake?
Oh never mind b/c now BDS guy is thrown from horse takes a nasty spill lands on his own freaking arrow and is in the lake, Me thinks that's not the worse to come yet.
Yep I was right he has lost his weapon... never mind he is looking for it man that arrow looks like it hurts can't you uh... or at least shouldn't you maybe IDK pull it out or something?!
Back to preggo's Glenn and his sweet butt wants to say something but of course gets shot down

BDS guy covers his naked bod when the girls' mom comes into the room to feed him dinner. She kisses him and thanks him. IT was a sweet moment all around and might be the saving grace for BDS guy.
Now this scene is creepy as all get out. Glenn wants to do it in the Barn only to discover that it is MOTHER NIGHT full of walkers. When he goes to run he slams into Maggie and she says you weren't suppose to see this...
Gawd this show I tell ya!

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 4

So now that I am slowly getting over my shock with Shane the others have arrived at the farm house.
And now we are at the funeral for Otis. Shane is having some guilt issues which his dumbass needs to feel. Are you going to be honest and tell them how you shot him so that you could live.  Yeah you keep on talking it up making yourself look good CURSE YOU SHANE.
Shane is a douche I tell ya.
So Asian kid name Glen is going to go with Bella to town which is cute how those two keep getting put together. Lori meant for Shane to stay or at least she will mean it until the truth comes out or Shane gets his come uppins.
I'll go saddle your horse then. Glen turns to Dale and ask horse? LOL
dumb blonde is annoying the shit out of me Shane and her need to go jump off a cliff together and save the group some drama and trouble.
What's up with Rick still wearing his uniform all the damn time seriously?!

Darrell is out hunting down a little girl in the meantime and stumbles upon something I cant' be sure because now we are back to the zombie in the well storyline which turns out to be REALLY GROSS and pointless b/c they pulled him in half and half of him dropped back into the well. Apparently Tboe has had enough and attacks whilst saying Good thing we do anything stupid like shoot it. Shane is blowing smoke up blonde's ass and kind of lets it slip that he is willing to do anything to save his friend's life.
Glen is trying so hard to impress the girl and show off while at the same time being the sweetheart he is. So Glen has to pick up something for Lori and needs to be quiet about it so he grab condoms instead and slowly Bella tells him she would have sex with him b/c the options are low. Not sure how I would take that if Iwere him. Seems kind of like an insult and yet he's all for it cause he's a guy.

Now back to Rick and the good doctor. Rick is trying to get the good doctor to allow them to stay cause it would be mean to turn them out.

The Walking Dead Season 2 eposide 3 I think...

So I am not sure what was so important about watching Shane shave his head but that is the opening scenethen we get to hear a story about Shane and how he is going to make it. As if Lori needs more guilt in this situation.
Darrell AKA BDS guy is a good guy he can't stand to see her crying so he goes out at night to see if he can find the girl. I am seriously falling in love with his red neck self.
Then we go to Otis who is just trying to do right by Carl I mean come on he didn't mean to shoot the kid. Told ya Otis wasn't going to make it a broken ankle to boot. Then again Shane ain't doing to hot either. Seriously dude a 20 foot drop how is this going to work? Add a zombie and now Shane has a broke ankle and Otis is dead.
They are going to have to operate soon.
BDS guy gives his back story typical stuff his dad was on a bender, brother in jail and he was lost in the woods for 9 days and no one cares.
Now Lori wonders if this is the life they want for Carl b/c life is too hard if he lives. She sounds like she wishes she would've died at the CDC Rick wants to know what changed.
They can't do this b/c Shane is still fighting to get back to them with the supplies if I was Shane I'd be pissed if I found out they were just giving up after all this shit I just went through in hopes of saving a kid.
I truly dont' think Shane is going to make it pass this episode people. For all his faults he is a decent guy. OH Otis isn't dead yet
Carl however, may not make it pass this episode cause he's having a seziure
Rick gives more blood even though it could mean his death b/c that Lori is what a parent does they don't just sit there and let their child die when there is a chance. That's all I'm saying if they were going to do that it should have been at the CDC where there was no pain and it would have been over quicker
That sucks for the guy in the tree. Apparently Darrell doesn't like when people opt out thinks the guy deserves it. He then asks dumb blonde you want to live now or not? Its just a question.
Anywho they do put the arrow through the walker but still no little girl. The Asian guy is digging the girl on the horse who happens by and by to be Bella on Supernatural or was Bella cause pretty girls don't last long on that show so she is no longer apart of it.
So Asian man is praying for the first time but it gives him a chance to bond with the girl of his dreams who forever will be called Bella to me.
Now I'm scared that Dale the old man isn't going to make what made him thinking wandering down the highway at night alone was a good idea?
So now Rick is giving Lori a lecture about why Carl should live all because when he woke up he talked about a deer instead of death.
Shane and Otis are still fighting for their lives and Damn it Darrell is still risking his.
That's not fair for Rick to put it on Lori about Carl. Although she said we do it so I guess that was the correct answer.
Shane to the rescue cause I told ya Otis wouldn't make it. Shane is shaken and scared Rick is okay with him Shane is feeling guilty about Otis' death.
There is still no sign of the little girl and at this point people I say we move on she's gone let it be. Dale tells the dumb blonde that he is sorry and she's still an ungrateful chit.
Bella is crying to the Asian guy and I am hoping that they are good for each other.
Oh look at that Carl seems to have stablized how awesome is that!!! Once again Rick steps up into the leadership role and breaks it to Patricia that her husband died to make sure his son lived. Needless to say she breaks down and Shane well he doesn't do so good with that plus now he truly can't have Lori so he doesn't know what to do. Lori is nice and ask Shane to stay which is a good step in the right direction.
Shane is still trying to deal with everything and we are back to the opening scene with him shaving his head.  Is my eyes deceiving me or has Shane been bit?

TWD review Season 2 ep. 2

Flashback time on TWD the morning that Rick gets shot from what I can tell. Yep I was correct she is rather calm when the police cars roll up letting her know that he's in surgery. Of course her son's school is about to let out so that might have something to do with it.
Anywho so we shall how Shane broke it to Rick's wife that Rick was shot we've now seen how Carl's mom broke it to him now how is Rick going to break it to his wife that Carl has been shot?!?

Is running with him shot a good idea? So it was a big fat man that accidently shot the boy see this is why nobody should stand that close to a deer.
Apparently there is a whole family living in the middle of nowhere one just happens to be a doctor how handy is that?
OH SHIT So sorry folks apparently Carl is the son and RICK is the dad I've been calling the dad CARL sorry for all the confusion that's my fault.

Okay so this is a no win situation that man didn't mean to shoot your son. You shouldn't have let your son get so close to a wild animal to begin with. Everyone in the woods heard one shot and now people want to know what the frack is happening.

So Lori is brought to the house and the rest of the crew try to figure out how to be there. Blonde chick is saved by girl on a horse who took Lori to Carl.
Oh Lord turns out the doctor is a vet not a doctor, doctor.
Oh poor Otis is trying so hard to help but he's just not in shape enough to keep quiet and Lord help me there is no way they are going to be able to get in and out without one or both of them being bit or scrached.
So aparently BDS guy's brother got the clap occasionally so he had antibotics the whole time. I am loving BDS guy seriously he always comes through.
And Rick must have never told Shane about how he got out of Altanta seriously folks smell like the dead and you can walk around among the dead. Then again a flare works too I guess
How many extras do you think they need for this show to dress up as zombie hoards...
I have a bad feeling about this I don't think Otis is going to make it at all. What about you?

Well the flares only last so long I mean how long did you think it was going to keep them occupied. Yep this makes me want to get in shape I mean fat people never make it through these kind of things or situations. So that gate will only hold them for a little while they know that right?

We are on season 2

So we are off to a good start they are heading to Texas cause that makes sense to them. Not me mind you. Carl says good bye to his friends that were suppose to follow him and heads off with the family. Shane is still harboring some love for Carl's wife and I really hope we end that soon. Looks like Shane is going to try to make the blonde woman love him in some way or at least she is his next victim. (I don't know if you can tell but I don't like Shane) anywho he is all like let me teach you how to clean your weapon and ooh. Then they stumble upon a crash site that is preventing them from getting along well on the highway. So now we are going to try to go through the crash site. Then of course the RV breaks down... luckily you have enough broken vehicles around that you can savage parts you know if you don't mind all the dead things walking around...
SEE I told you that the dead were coming and holy crap that is a ton of them. Then home skillet goes and cuts his arm. No minorities are going to make it through this show are they? Its like a typical horror movie. Then stupid blonde is trying to reassemble her weapon that she doesn't know how to reassemble so that's going to go well. I swear this group just can't catch a break... then again it is a zombie show so if they caught a break it wouldn't be a very good show would it...

Readneck BDS boy saves black man that should be the newspaper heading...blonde is now thinking that she wishes she would have just burned to death at the CDC and the little girl moved too soon so I wonder how that is going to go damn they are moving fast after her. No worries little one Carl is on it. I do feel bad for the little girl part of me is like stop running deeper in the woods the other part is like RUN FOREST again no worry cause Carl is on it.
See the little girl didn't even listen to Carl she ran off before she was suppose to now they are all looking around the woods for her and someone else is going to die b/c of it. If she would've just listen then she would be back with her mom and everything would be... well as fine as it can be when there are zombies walking around. Then again she is like 7 or 8 and well they don't listen when there are no  zombies running around so I can only image what they would be like with "walkers" (sorry got tired of saying zombie)
Now Carl's wife is pissed that Shane blew off her son and is giving her a cold shoulder. Why is she so confusing I am even confused on her behavior. Oh and Shane is going to be a BIG man and leave for good slipping away like a thief in the night. She's all you can't and I'm all like you should just freaking leave already Shane no one likes you nor do they need you. Plus you might make another "mistake" and accidently try to rape someone again...
EWWW that's gross they are opening the belly of a zombie up to see if he ate Sophia (little girl who ran away when she should've stayed.) That's not something I wanted to see... Oh and no worries it wasn't the little girl it was a woodchuck. She is 12 years old not 8 she should know better. Her mother is freaking out and BDS guy is like we cut the son of a bitch open to make sure. Oh sure lady blame the man who is trying to help and save your little girl. The same one that wouldn't listen to him.
Shane you can't talk to a woman like that and expect her to sleep with you afterwords.
So the blonde is pissed that she didn't end her life and she is pissed at Dale for taking her choice away. He's a freaking old man I mean he thinks of her like a daughter but all she can see is that she didn't want his blood on her hands. GET OVER YOURSELF you know what Dale give her the gun and leave her ass behind if she really wants a choice on how to die then she can shoot herself in the head after you have all moved on.
The sad part about Shane is how he is treating the little guy.
Okay the tent part is just wrong... someone explain to me why the WHOLE group had to go into the woods to look for a small girl? And who the hell thought ringing bells would be a good idea?
Look a Southern Baptist Church how cute surrounded by a grave yard and full of zombies awesome. 
Yeah I'm sorry but I think Shane is absolutely loosing it. OH and the blonde now has some dirt on Shane and Carl's wife see what happens when you loose control. You let things slip and others start to hear about it and that's when things go bad. It still amazes me how TV protrays Christians as if this zombie attack was a punishment from God. And if that were true would any Christian survive? What's the point of this praying scene?
Now Blonde wants to run away w/crazy Shane is this the scene where Carl kills Shane... Let's hope or maybe hope not who cares.
Oh now its time for Carl to pray at least he's not sounding like a this is my punishment b/c I wanted my wife beating husband to die so now God has taken my only child as punishment b/c wishing my beating husband would die is a BAD thing and NO ONE does that.
God the blonde needs to get over her chip on her shoulder mentality. She is annoying the hell out of me and I am wishing that she would've just stayed behind and blown up. What does she mean I didn't want your blood on my hands you would've been dead... how would you have known his blood was on your hands anyway. GAWD you are freaking driving me insane.
Then Carl's wife gives a hell of a good speech and a deer magically appears in front of the group.  The only thing cooler would be if it turned out to be a zombie deer. But alas that is not the case... I don't think I would let my kid get that close to one. Then he gets shot WTF?!?!

TWD review

So I was going to keep doing my thoughts as I watched until I realized how annoying that can be and besides I started the episode before I started this post so instead on this one I will just do a quick mini review via some thoughts but not a play by play...

So they made it to the CDC and were allowed to make it in the building and well fed. As well as some drinking occured. Shane tried to rape Carl's wife she scratched the crap out of him. Otherwise things are good and we get a play by play of what it is like for a person to become a zombie. Restarts the brain stem. Needless to say after that there is the horrible talk about how there is nothing left anywhere. Then we get a lost moment where the clock counts down to 0 which means the whole place goes up in flames I think or maybe the zombies come in...
We'll find out in less then 45 minutes though I bet ya. Man this show is good at making the moment of fear last or the moment per say...
So apparently the man in the CDC is cray cray y'all and the group gets out cause we have more seasons then 1 so I wonder if this is the final episode of the season cause it is a great cliff hanger if it is. Except that the group doesn't want the greatest death they want to hack it out on the zombies cause that seems smart. Although the human mind does want to survive. Of course Shane goes crazy and Carl has to step in and stop it. And everyone looks to Carl to be the leader and of course he steps up and becomes that leader that they want. Oh here was something not shocking the patient we watched changed was his wife... shocker, not.The day will come when you won't be grateful... oh how true are those world in a zombie ending...
Some decide to stay and I have to wonder if I would stay as well or not. I understand why they stayed and at the same time I wouldn't stay myself I don't think. Then again I might oh hell I have no idea what I would do.
So just checked an apparently this was the season final of season 1 there are only like 6 episodes in this show this season... so that explains a lot.
Anywho so the older man guilts the blonde girl into leaving the CDC so that they don't get blown up by the explosion meant to cleanse the place of any of the diseases. I am sitting here still thinking about this episode and I can't believe that she gave up and just died in the explosion. Then again I'm glad the CDC guy had someone to go out with...

Great episode one of my favorites so far.

Great beginning
so sad about the sister though dang girl let the body go what if she came back to life. Apparently though in this show if you die before turning you don't come back to life so that's good to know.

The Walking Dead S1E1 thoughts

So I started my re-watch in hopes of catching up before my trip here are my random thoughts while watching S1E1: Days Gone By

My Notes:
I don't know about anyone else but I sure as heck wouldn't walk thru a bunch of parked cars without checking under them first. I'm just saying.

I mean if you are going to do that at least look for extra supplies take one of the knives sticking out of the tree or something. Cause you know something is coming... I mean come on the name of the show is The Walking Dead…

Good news she is slow moving so that’s a bonus not 28 days fast. Also you are apparently a crack shot with one bullet to head also a good thing to know.

That would suck to wake up in a hospital like that… dead flower, no one around, hot and sweaty and apparently in pain… yep that would suck. Add to it the hospital looks like a war zone and not knowing what was going on wait there’s some power but at one point you have to light a match come on…

I like the flashy lights they set the mood for the half eaten dead woman. The gore factor is high in this one. Good job Rick walk away from the half eaten dead woman.

Don’t Open Dead inside yeah that’s enough to send me over the edge and then they try to escape. This is why having shoes and clothing on already would’ve been a smart move. GET OUT!
